UNM BE THE MATCH - Marrow Donor Drive 2010
Through the aid of Be The Match (National Marrow Donor Program), we will be hosting a Bone Marrow Drive here at University of New Mexico on April 7th and 8th at UNM SUB Ballroom B. Your participation is greatly needed! We need volunteers to help during the times of 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on both days. Volunteer positions include:
• Distribute information
• Manage consent forms
• Recruit students, faculty and members of the community to join the registry
• Supervise Buccal swabs by donators
We are looking for responsible students that understand privacy matters and are mature enough to handle such a task. Although the procedure is not extensive; however, legal and private information is involved. We request that if anyone from your organization would like to help, please send us an e-mail and we will send further information for volunteer training.
Also, please notify your members that this drive is open to anyone that is in healthy condition between the ages of 18 to 60. Please join the Registry because you can save a life and there is no cost to the participants. If you have any questions or concern please feel free to contact us.
